Today I sent out packages to ask my friends if they would be willing to be my bridesmaids. I really enjoyed deciding what I wanted to include and creating everything.
I decided to create a postcard that individualized the "Bridesmaids" movie poster. On the back I wrote a message about why I wanted them to be in my bridal party.
I wrote up information cards that laid out my ideas about the wedding and who I was inviting to be a part of the bridal party.
I included a card that spoke to the Celtic influences that would be playing a part in our wedding.
I added a sterling silver anklet with charm, that I thought well represented the gratitude I had for their participation.
Lastly, I put in the colors I chose for the wedding.
The items I chose to include and create represented my desire to make sure my bridesmaids felt appreciated and knew what I was hoping for from them. I have been a MoH and bridesmaid several times. During which time, I have had amazing experiences that cemented my bond with the bride and bridesmaids. However, there was one wedding in which the opposite occurred. I really think this was due to lack of communication about expectations, event details, and desires. I want to make sure my wedding party never feels that way and that everything I do helps cement our relationships, not tear them apart.
Check out our Groomsmen Asks!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!! I'd like to do something similar -- any hints on how you manipulated the movie poster? I'm not familiar w/ photoshop at ALL...any interest in making a few bucks doing this for a fellow bride? (just the photo/postcard part)

I am so glad that you like it! I spent a lot of time working on it. While I am very flattered you would like me to make one for you as well, I don't feel comfortable enough with my level of photoshop skills to work on anything as important as another person's Bridal Ask. However, I found a great tutorial (that I wish I had watched before I made mine!): http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/photo-effects-tutorials/swap-faces-with-photoshop/
DeleteI hope this helps, good luck, and remember if you are having fun it will turn out amazing!
